Man killed in Pamplona's running of the bulls- DUH!

He probably shoulda listened to his mom and STAYED AWAY!

It's that time of year again in Spain. The Running of the Bulls.
And guess what. A man died after being gored in the neck during the annual running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain. The man was said to have been a Spanish tourist.

FYI- in the event six bulls and a pack of tame steers run from the corrals, through Pamplona's old town, to the bullring -- where the bulls will die later in the day in a bullfight.
Sounds like a humane and well needed thing to still have going on these days...............just to prove manlyhood. Right. Even in the age of Viagara they are still doing this.

14 people have been killed in the runs since 1924, when record-keeping began.
The run in Pamplona started 400 years ago and became popular worldwide after author Ernest Hemingway wrote about it in the 1920s in his book "The Sun Also Rises," also published under the title "Fiesta."

Amateur video footage showed the victim falling to the ground toward the end of race, just before the entrance to the bullring, and apparently being gored in the neck.

Organizers of Pamplona's running of the bulls say todays' goring is the first such fatality since 1995 (it was an American then). Nine others were injured in a particularly dangerous and chaotic chapter of the running of the bulls.
At one point the bull picked up a man with its horns, flipped him into the air as if he were a toy and kept going after him as he lay curled up on the ground, covering his face. But this man managed to get up and run away, without serious injuries.

Okay, so what did you think would happen with a bunch of angry bulls are pushed on to the crowded streets with people taunting them?

That is crazy! I would never! I think that is just horrible what those animals have to go through and each one of them need to be punished for taking part in this.

Wow, someone was killed??? No surprises there! Of all the places to travelthat sound so romantic in Hemingway's novels, I think I'd have to visit Pamplona another time of the year. Why does this always make the news? I have even scene live coverage of it the last couple of years! You know the TV channels are only there to cover the carnage.

I understand that it is tradition, but I just can't condone animal cruelty.

Well, I can't say I'm surprised. And I kind of feel bad for those bulls. I would do the same thing if I was being taunted and tortured.
